The Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a new online service that allows Kenyans to verify the authenticity of their Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC). The service is available on the DCI website and can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.
To verify your CGC, you will need to enter your certificate number and your date of birth. The service will then check the DCI database to confirm that your certificate is genuine. You will receive a confirmation email if your certificate is valid.
The DCI has launched this new service to help Kenyans protect themselves from fraud. There have been several cases of fake CGCs being used to obtain employment or travel visas. The new online service will make it easier for Kenyans to verify the authenticity of their certificates and protect themselves from fraud.
